The Andaz Hotel in West Hollywood

At the Andaz you wont find a pleasing exterior, but once you get inside you will be shocked. Once you pull up to the Andaz, the door will open and you will hear, "Welcome to the Andaz!" Once the valets have helped your luggage to the lobby you walk through the doors into a mind blowing interior. There is no check in desk but the on-duty clerk will ask if you are checking in. The man who greeted us seemed happy to see us! He checked us in on a netbook as we sat on the lobby's couch. As he checked us in asked us what we wanted to do in Hollywood. We showed him our plans and he happily told us what to do and which events were happening (so we knew when the roads were going to be full).
He finished checking us in and showed us his little place by the computers (you can use these computers for anything from plane reservations to social media sites) where there is soda, juice, fruit, and water that is open for any guest 24/7. Once he was done showing us the lobby, he gave the room keys to my dad. He didn't leave us to find the room--he showed the room to us! It was on the 10th floor and he rode the elevator with us. The man showed my sister, dad, and I the room we were staying in. You look out at the view it was the best ever!! We had a view of Pee Wee Herman on a billboard and an underwear billboard to the right. But it was well worth it, because there was a special alcove that doubled as a workspace for my dad. :)

But there's stuff on the roof thats better--code for the swimming pool!! They had seats where you could sit and watch the pool and each side. While the clerk left after introducing our room, we were always in good company outside of our room. The "pool man" offered all of us drinks whenever we arrived at the pool, and offered to save our spots when we had to exit to the restroom. The view of the Hollywood Hills is breathtaking! Staying right on the Hills is so awesome. Let's just say I left there feeling like I was a star. If you want to be a star and shine the brightest you need to go to the Andaz in West Hollywood!!
